Participants take on the role of the management team – comprised of finance, production, marketing and corporate intelligence. Their challenge is to make the right investments at the right time – and to get the required return. 

Teams manage the strategic, operational and financial variables that will help lover costs and penetrate new markets.  Teams learn to better utilize financial statements and financial rations as planning tools to boost productivity and profitability over a 10 year simulation period.  Working together, they increase their awareness of the complex nature of inter-department financial relationships.  And in the process, they understand what it takes to pull in the same direction- as well as how to bring their new skills and insights into reality.

The company, A&O Inc., is losing market share, faces demands from suppliers and has an increasing number of customers. The company is in desperate need of a new and disciplined financial strategy. Participants will take on the role of the incoming management team to institute the turnaround. 

 

Participants will learn how monitor cash flow, optimize the utilization of resources and capital, and measure results in the balance sheet and income statement. This knowledge and experience enables your employees to develop sound business sense, which will guide them in future decision making.

In The Business Simulation

Six companies will compete for customers in the same marketplace, with the customer base divided by types according to the customer segmentation model. Participants will take on the role of the management team – comprised of Marketing & Sales, Development & Services, Planning & Delivery and Finance & Control. The challenge is for participants to define a strategy for the future, and put it into action – FAST.

Delivering on contracts with excellence and minimum costs before finally measuring the yearly achievement and latest Market Position standing.  Over an 8-year simulation period, participants will intimately explore the factors which influence the Branding & Reputation of a company, and the immense potential impact of a strong brand on the bottom line.
