Maybe some of you’ve heard the quote before:
“Vision without execution is hallucination.”
How are we going to turn vision into reality? This eventually brings us to a deeper question, “How to create the behavioural norms that can help each and every member in your organization to individually and personally decipher vision into projections.”
Behavioural norm is an action that links behaviour to the accomplishment of goals or vision. Hence, your job as a leader is not to focus solely on vision but also to assist all the people under you to create and find ways to live and execute the mission. Just like Jack Welch once says, “Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.”
So the question is: are you doing your part in assisting your team members in translating your organization’s vision into behavioural norms that are viable and convenient?
